Kaiarahi 2024

For some of the girls in our class this is the first time playing rugby but they are all keen and enjoying learning from Whaea Cheryl. Hopefully they will get to play in a tournament next term to put their skills into a game.

Congratulations to Silas, Ezrae, Te Ramaroa and Oshaye that represented the school at the Interschool Swimming Sports. They all did so well and even got top 3 in finals. The year 7 and the year 8 teams came 2nd in their relays. Well done again to these tamariki for your amazing effort.

Next week Room 5 and 6 will be going on the waka from Waitangi to the falls as part of our learning this term around the awa. Yesterday Matua Joe came in to help us with the commands and calls for when we are on the waka. It was lots of new learning for most of us and we are excited for Wednesday to get on the water and have a go.

This term we were part of the Whitebait Connection programme. We worked with Whaea Rosie to look at the health and water quality of the local awa.
